Troubleshooting

If you encounter problems while using our software, this section will help you identify and resolve common errors. Follow the instructions below to resolve common issues yourself.

1. User interface/app issues

Symptoms:

  • Display errors or missing elements in the user interface
  • Buttons or menus are not responding

Solutions:

  • Restart the software or reset the software to default settings.
  • Reinstall the software.
  • Update Windows and all apps in the Microsoft Store.
  • Make sure your software is up to date.
  • Download the latest Windows App SDK

2. Login issues

Symptoms:

  • Error messages when trying to log in
  • Login details are not accepted

Solutions:

  • Check your login details and make sure they are entered correctly.
  • Have an admin to reset your password.

3. Performance problems

Symptoms:

  • Slow response times
  • Frequent crashes or freezes of the software

Solutions:

  • Download the latest Windows App SDK
  • Close unnecessary applications to free up system resources.
  • Perform regular maintenance on your database (e.g. rebuild indexes, optimize database).

4. Report problems

Symptoms:

  • Missing fields in the report
  • Report is not created
  • The report could not be created: Error G-MPS-Reporter: Database login failed.

Solutions:

  • Check if the .xml file (in the Export Path) of the created report contains the correct data. If the data in the .xml file is correct, then something is wrong with the report.
  • Check if G-MPS-Reporter is added and has the latest version. Download the latest version of G-Installer.
  • Make sure that DataSet.xml in the report has the latest version. Add DataSet.xml to the report and recreate the fields.
  • Make sure the fields exist in the report.
